About MeJasen Ashdown was born and raised in North Carolina. Through his high school years he began leading worship for his youth group and began to hear the call of ministry on his life. Jasen headed to California for college and completed a BA in Christian Education from Biola University in 2002. While at Biola, Jasen lead worship for students all over the world! In 1998 and 1999 he traveled with the worship band Timber, and in 2000 he formed Yesterdays Beggar, a band that he finished his Biola career with. During his travel with the band he met the love of his life, Amanda Shilling and they were married on Sept 10th, 2005. After being on the road for so long – Jasen longed for community with others and sought after deep roots with people in a local church setting. His passion for connection with people and connection with God is what drives him at his core. He is passionate for God’s glory and loves to help people embody the call of Christ on their lives.
