this morning i am moved again by the continued story of hope from Help One Now, the non-prof that i am volunteering for – and their passion to live out the story of the gospel and take part in bring God’s kingdom closer and closer to people who desperately need it.

i invite you to join with me in partnering with them this Christmas to take part in their Legacy Project and let’s get this school built for these kids in Haiti. i am honored to be a part of this tribe and invite you to journey along with me as we together bring the story of grace, peace, hope, justice and love to the world. check out this video below for more on the Legacy Project:

10.7.12

some very dear friends of mine are heading to Haiti tomorrow (October 8-12) as Help One Now (formerly Help End Local Poverty) is bringing an amazing group of bloggers to Haiti to tell the stories of the orphans who are living a hope-filled life, the leaders who are making a difference, and the communities that are being transformed.

I pray that you will be able to experience Haiti in a way that you never have before through the words and images that come from this team.
Follow the team on Twitter (@helponenow) and watch the #Help1Haiti hashtag for live updates and conversations.

i am updating my site and realized that i never shared this talk i gave at church for Good Friday. i was challenging because i lead music as well, but all in all i think it went really well. honestly i was intimidated to preach on Good Friday but i was happy with the result. at any rate, judge for yourself. download below:

My First Sermon

8.22.11

This past Sunday, 8/21 – i was given the honor of preaching at arcade church, where i typically lead worship. needless to say it was a different role for me to play – at the same time i was incredibly excited about it. i have been serving in church ministry for quite some time now and never actually given the responsibility to preach on a sunday morning. so this was a first for me.

the week of preparation had some challenges, at the same time i really enjoyed diving into scripture, wrestling with it with friends and crafting what it was God wanted me to say. The sermon comes from Genesis 12:1-4 – a scripture section that has been instrumental in my story.

here is the link for the sermon – Blessed to be a Blessing. take a listen – would love some feedback

enjoy
